The Lake

When an unspeakable tragedy destroys Barbara Winters’ life, she retreats into emotional isolation. Close, longtime friends try to help her return to normal, but she resists.
Over two years pass before she decides to take a vacation alone to Hawk Lake at the top of Michigan’s lower peninsula. On a hike around the lake, she comes across a run-down building that once housed a nightclub. Inside, it appears to have been abandoned in the middle of a party almost a hundred years ago.
Barbara is both mystified and intrigued, and in her search for answers, she comes across a man who will change her life. She’s irresistibly drawn to him, but is he a ghost from the past, or is he real?
