IT’S COME TO THIS

Several months ago, in an effort to cut down on carbs, I bought two different kinds of bags of that pasta made from cauliflower. 

I don’t like cauliflower, so I don’t know what I was thinking, but they said in the commercial it tasted just like regular pasta, so I thought I’d give it a try. They lied. It tasted just like cauliflower. Because I’m too lazy to return things, the second bag got shoved down into the bottom of the freezer, and I forgot about it. 

Now, having been in isolation for three weeks and not allowed by my daughter to go to the grocery or anywhere else, the freezer is pretty much emptied out. I did find three of those blocks you freeze to put in your cooler. Since I don’t have a cooler, that’s a little strange. I do have two of those insulated carrier bags I use in the summer when it’s 120′ here, but I always forget the ice bricks. 

I discovered the cauliflower pasta today. Since I forgot to take the chicken out to thaw, it was that or the last of the tuna casserole. I have had enough of that.

The groceries I ordered from Amazon won’t show up for another two days, so I decided I’d give the cauliflower pasta a try. It came with something laughably called an Alfredo sauce. The good news is that it didn’t taste like Cauliflower the way the other variety did, but then, on the other hand, it didn’t taste like Alfredo, either. 

The only good thing about it was it was edible, and it wasn’t leftover tuna casserole.
